Solano Life House was honored as a 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 & 2017 Best of Assisted Living award recipient by SeniorAdvisor.com, which recognizes the top 1% in national senior care. We thank the Solano County community, our wonderfully caring staff, and the dedicated leadership of our Administrator, Mary Felix. Welcome to Solano Life House, which has been serving Solano County CA from Dixon, my home town just west of Sacramento, since 1985.

My name is Mary Felix, and I have been passionate about senior care for eighteen years, and responsible for distinguishing Solano Life House as its Administrator since 2015 with award winning Memory Care by thinking and acting differently. We care for the whole family and our families actively participate in our residents' lives and our community like extended family.

When searching for care, you'll have two overriding concerns, so I'll address those with regard to our mission at Solano Life House. CARE: Our caregivers and med-techs receive mandatory training twice monthly as part of an extensive ongoing training program so that our staff is ever evolving in its competence in care, safety, and professionalism.

Report
Everyone needs companionship and stimulation to feel alive and engaged in life and this is especially true for seniors as the pace of their lives slows and their independence wanes with an increasing need for physical assistance and the managing of their health issues.
Struggling alone, or even in a multi-generational home environment can be isolating without the company of peers to add a sense of commonality to life and a supportive environment addressing the concerns of the elderly.
Therefore, at the Solano Life House, we believe strongly in the benefits of communal living for the elderly and so our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our residents through socialization and personal care services in a warm and supportive, home style environment.
Philosophy
Report
The most common misconception about the elderly is that they spend their days managing their physical health issues.
The reality is that most of the elderly spend their days dealing with mental health, in the form of helplessness, loneliness, and boredom for most, and a spectrum of dementia for many.
At Solano Life House, we are committed to creating an environment where life revolves around familial staff, elderly peers, and regular engagement with the outside visiting community in the form of entertainment, therapy pets, and the spectrum of generations to include school children so that our residents feel that they are a part of a community, not removed from it.
Testimonials
Report
I visited several facilities before deciding on Solano Life House.
The administrator, Mary and her staff are very welcoming and caring.
From the first day, my mother has felt at home at Solano Life House.
She has actually gotten better since she came to live at Solano Life House.
Although she has only been here a short time, she interacts with everyone and the staff is very caring with her.
She now goes on outings and there are scheduled activities that the residents do every day with activity directors.
